Employee satisfaction and growth remains a strong foundation even amid a pandemic. Yes, it's all very challenging but imperative to identify and honour credit where it's due. Digient technologies value their employees and that is evident in the way that they have not laid off a single employee, on the contrary, Digient has been well positioned to recruit more candidates as per Company requirement. Furthermore, the existing employees continue to receive performance-based, annual increments.
Performance appraisals and bonuses are a great way to evaluate employees and add an edge to increase their value within the Company. Digient defines and takes core competencies into account as part of performance review. Notwithstanding Covid situation, the Company policy of reviewing its employees remains a workplace priority. The performances were graded on the rubrics of Exceptional, Best and Top, subsequently. The certificate holders are honoured with an additional reward of cash amount as appreciation for their contribution.
Dazzling earthen lamps, vivid lights, mouth-watering sweets and mesmerizing rangolis are the real gems in Diwali celebration! Indeed, there is no better way to add a splash of joy and celebration than bring the workforce together to immerse in the spiritual energy and build a strong sense of community among the colleagues. The year 2020, despite the new reality, saw the warmth of Diwali, in the form of a box full of sweets; reaching at the doorsteps of all the employees, remote destinations and all, here at Digient Technologies.
Annual day is another corporate occasion Digient Technologies celebrate with utmost zest and zeal, it’s the time of year when the workforce gets together at an outdoor location to celebrate the business highs, reframe goals for the upcoming year; all this, by awarding and rewarding the candidates for having largely contributed in adding to the success and glory that is Digient. No stone was left unturned to continue the momentum and practice of the Company event which was organized virtually last year. With 100 percent of the workforce working remote, wellness and new engagement techniques become a priority. Managers at Digient conduct fun team activities to keep the spirit going in these trying times. Keeping communication at an all time high and offering flexibility among other considerations. Besides taking up courses and receiving training sessions to upgrade and hone skills, one of the highlights that need a special mention is the training program arranged for the employees to learn sign language - an initiative built as a bridge to help communicate with the members of the deaf community - in support of the Deaf Enabled Foundation. Digient has established strong ties with Deaf Enabled Foundation, dedicated to helping and supporting them with volunteer work, investment of time and resources as a long term commitment.
Responding to the Covid crisis challenging the nation, Digient Technologies extended its support and volunteered to distribute relief rations at Pondicherry and Thanjavur in the months of May and June last year.
Sustainability is the buzzword of the 21st century - The SDG’s as we know it aim at eliminating global issues and ensure prosperity for all. While the government initiatives in India are linked to achieving SDGs, local implementation more so at a corporate level is certainly a step in the right direction. In keeping with the goals in mind, Digient Technologies organized a food distribution drive during the Covid times to help reach those in need, doing their bit in going that extra mile.
Philanthropy and giving back to society is an integral practice seamlessly integrated in the fabric of Digient Technologies. The month of September 2020 witnessed an initiative taken by a sector from Digient which participated in offering the Child Dream Foundation a handsome contribution, raised by way of collection from the employees.
