Welcome to the Third Part in the series of Digient-through the lens; and if you’ve read Part 1 through 3 of our series on the Employee Experience, you already understand the importance of how employee experience drives the Company’s culture and performance.

In this article, we continue to explore what keeps the employees ticking; their unconditional commitment towards the Company and the Organization’s unwavering support that fosters optimum growth all round. And what better way to understand the operating standards of an Organization than the employees themselves. Suffice to say that, most employees who’ve engaged with us have unanimously nominated the Founder and CEO, Mr. Johnson as the reason behind the success of the company.

Research shows that when people view their work as meaningful, their performance and job attitudes improve significantly. We have with us some of the senior-most employees of the company share their thoughts on life in Digient.

Mr. Suresh who started out as a Flash developer in the year 2008 vividly points out how he climbed up the ladder as did the Company. Today, he enjoys the position of being a Technical Architect and fondly recalls how the Company moved from Flash to integrate Javascript frameworks; upgrading the graphics and animation to keep up with the latest trends. He further states- each day has been a challenge and never a dull moment; every product they develop has something new to captivate the employees and thereby hone their skill. Like most employees, Mr. Suresh too is quick to agree that the work culture offers a sense of family; teamwork and collaboration is key to their growth. He particularly shares this incident- which cements the belief of commitment- wherein the year 2013-2014 saw a critical arch in the Company with vital projects in the pipeline; it was during this time that Mr. Suresh among a few others literally lived in the office for weeks and would return home only to freshen up. Undoubtedly the products that emerged were extremely successful. He adds that they receive utmost freedom to learn new technology and optimize it.

We turned to Mr Vinoth Kumar, Product Head in Digient; who shares the reason behind sticking around for more than a decade, “A transparent system put in place and our boss’s door is always open for discussion”. This phenomenon is what he truly believes paves a strong bridge between employees and the owner. Mr Kumar further highlights his stint in Europe for six months- a learning experience fraught with challenges- to get training and experience while working in Playtech. Such training programs prove to be a huge exposure that amplifies not just the employees’ work portfolio but elevates personal growth. He expresses his pride at being associated with a top-notch gaming provider, like Digient. With constant opportunities and promotions thrown into the mix, Digient knows exactly how to identify and retain the capable workforce. Mr. Kumar affirms that the Company will have taken long strides into a fully processed, CMM level Organization with several overseas projects and a lot more gaming partners onboard, in the next five years. In short, Digient is ripe for turning into a top international gaming Company.

According to Mr. Dhayalamani, the Principal Lead at Digient, The Company exhibits a process oriented; architect level operational service that ensures a series of testing and approval mechanisms before the product is finalized and developed. Each role is clearly defined and responsibilities well charted, which he believes is the key factor for exponential growth. He conveyed that leadership; collaboration and commitment are the three qualities that have brought him this far. He also discusses factors to be kept in mind for like-minded freshers looking to establish themselves in the world of software gaming solutions and as he puts it, certain requirements never get old: “Self-motivation; dormant ego; constant learning and an inherent love and passion for games (we couldn’t agree more).”
